Dodge's Latest "Last Call" Special Edition: 2023 Charger King Daytona

The 2023 Charger King Daytona, Dodge's latest "Last Call" special edition, boasts more power than the widebody SRT Hellcat Redeyeon on which it's based.

The Detroit Auto Show buzzed with exciting car industry news about the debut of the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona, the fifth out of the automaker’s series of the seven models it’s producing under the “Last Call” banner. The company is set to end production of the traditional Charger and Challenger, with only 300 units available.

The spectacular Dodge Charger King Daytona pays tribute to the West Coast drag-racing culture in the 1960s and 1970s when William “Big Willie” Robinson gave his Dodge Charger the moniker “King Daytona” in a bid to inspire racers to keep it off the streets and on the track. The new Dodge has a stunning Go Mango paint finish, a black satin spoiler and a rear fender featuring King Daytona graphics.

The 2023 King Daytona’s “Go Mango” Finish Is Breathtaking

The “Go Mango” finish and massive attention-grabbing hood give the King Daytona its undeniable curb appeal. The bumper splits into two grilles and features the SRT badge alongside the legacy “wildcat” badge. Dodge enhanced the sporty feel by adding subtle edges and curves to the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona.

This audacious theme is also present in the interior, with bold orange stitching holding in place the black Nappa/Alcantara that wraps the seats. The stitching goes on through the center console, instrument panel, steering wheel and door trims. The steering wheel’s carbon fiber bezels and sleek suede provide a luxurious feel. Other interior features include an intuitive navigation package, a Harman Kardon premium audio system and a power sunroof.

The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona — The Perfect Tribute to a True Drag-Racing Icon

Dodge based the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona on Big Willie’s Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody, which explains the “wildcat” badge on the grille. Both the Redeye and King Daytona boast a powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine. Packing 787 horsepower, the Redeye was a monster. The King Daytona takes it up a notch to 807 horsepower alongside the eight-speed automatic transmission.

That’s enough to impress any muscle car enthusiast. The new Dodge’s statistics are equally astonishing. While maintaining the 707 pound-feet of torque, the King Daytona goes from 0-60 mph in a remarkable 3.5 seconds and tops out at 203 mph. It rides on 20-inch Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels sporting six-piston Brembo brake calipers.

Only 300 Units of the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona Are Available

According to Dodge brand chief executive officer Timothy Kuniskis, the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona honors a true icon of the rich legacy of muscle cars. Only 300 units will be available. Sadly, even though many gearheads would love to own the new Dodge, orders are limited to specific traders.

Given how beloved the Dodge Charger and Challenger are, it’s rather heartbreaking to see all 2023 models in Dodge’s “Last Call” lineup. The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona holds a special place in the hearts of muscle car lovers. To them, it’s perfect: raw power, undeniable curb appeal and an assortment of features. They couldn’t ask for more.

When to Replace Brake Pads: Key Warning Signs

When to Replace Brake Pads: Signs Your Brakes Need Service You don't usually think about your brakes until you press the pedal and something feels off. If your car is taking a second longer to stop, or you're hearing a squeal every time you slow down in Stephenville, Texas, don't wait to get your brake pads checked. Replacing them is quick and relatively cheap; waiting until you hear metal grinding gets dangerous and leads to a very expensive repair job. Why Brake Pad Replacement is Important Understanding when to replace brake pads isn't just about preventing damage to your rotors - it's about keeping you, your passengers, and everyone else on the road safe. Brake pads are designed to wear down gradually over time, and the warning signs don't always show up all at once. Common Signs Your Brake Pads Are Worn Knowing when to replace brake pads starts with paying attention to what your vehicle is telling you. Here are the most common indicators that it's time for service. A high-pitched squealing sound when you apply the brakes is often the first sign most drivers notice. This noise is typically caused by a small metal wear indicator built into the brake pad specifically designed to alert you when the pad material is getting thin. If the squealing has progressed to a grinding noise, that's a more urgent warning. Grinding usually means the pad has worn down completely, and metal is hitting metal, which can damage your rotors quickly and increase your repair costs. Vibration or pulsing through the brake pedal is another sign. This can indicate uneven brake pad wear or warped rotors, both of which affect how effectively your vehicle stops. If your car is taking longer to stop, it’s a clear sign that your brakes aren’t performing as they should. If your vehicle seems to take more distance to come to a full stop, your brake pads may be overdue for replacement. Finally, if your brake warning light comes on, don't ignore it. Many vehicles are equipped with sensors that monitor brake pad thickness and alert you when service is needed. How Often Should Brake Pads Be Replaced There's no single answer to how often brake pads need to be replaced because it depends on your driving habits, vehicle type, and the conditions you drive in. Frequent stop-and-go traffic, towing, and aggressive driving all accelerate pad wear. As a general guideline, most brake pads should be inspected every 12,000 miles and replaced somewhere between 25,000 and 65,000 miles. If you spend time on rural roads or cover a lot of highway miles, you may find your pads last on the longer end of that range, while city driving tends to wear them out faster. The best approach is to have your brakes inspected during every routine maintenance visit so a qualified technician can assess the remaining pad thickness and overall condition of your braking system. Visit Us for Brake Service You Can Trust If you've noticed any of the signs described above, it's time to schedule a brake inspection. 2026 RAM 1500 Towing Capacity: What to Know

2026 RAM 1500 Towing Capacity: What You Need to Know When you need Texas-sized pulling power for your job, weekend projects, and weekend adventures, only America’s Most Dependable Full-Size Truck (J.D. Power) will do. If you’re looking for an everyday-capable truck that can handle the work you throw at it, the 2026 RAM 1500 is up to the task with its towing capacity and the smart tech that backs it up. Whether you’re hauling a boat to the lake, pulling a camper across Texas, or moving equipment for a jobsite, knowing exactly what your truck can do is critical. And the RAM 1500 is a go-to powerhouse for Stephenville, Texas pickup drivers. Engine Options That Drive Capability The 2026 RAM 1500’s towing capacity is tied directly to what’s under the hood, and this is the Strongest RAM 1500 ever. The standard 3.6L Pentastar® V6 with eTorque is efficiency-focused with 305 hp and 269 lbs.-ft. of torque—able to pull 8,130 lbs. This year saw the return of the legendary 5.7L HEMI® V8, delivering 395 hp and 410 lbs.-ft. of torque, able to tow 11,320 lbs. The real ferocity comes from the 2 available 3.0L Hurricane engines. The standard Hurricane boasts 420 hp and 469 lbs.-ft. of torque, letting it tow 11,610 lbs., while the High-Output Hurricane is in a class of its own. With 540 hp and 521 lbs.-ft. of torque, it launches the RHO and Tungsten trims to 60 from a standstill in record time. However, with the heavy-duty equipment these trims feature, the HO Hurricane tows 10,000 lbs.—less than its sibling. It’s a matter of knowing what you want your engine for and how much power you need. Beyond towing, the 2026 RAM 1500 also offers a maximum payload capacity of 2,360 lbs. That means the bed can handle heavy cargo loads in addition to whatever you have connected to the hitch. Technology That Makes Towing Easier Raw numbers are important, but working smarter—not harder—is just as essential. The 2026 RAM 1500 is described as the Most Technologically Advanced RAM 1500 Ever, offering more towing technology than ever before. That includes more than 100 standard and available safety and security features designed to keep you in control on the road. Features like Drowsy Driver Detection help keep you alert on the road, while Traffic Sign Recognition projects speed limit and other road signs right onto your windshield with the Head-Up Display. Intersection Collision Assist helps prevent accidents at busy intersections when you’re turning, even braking when you need it. Over 50” of combined displays are available in this cabin, giving you easy access to trailer information, wireless smartphone integration with a 14.5” central touchscreen, a Head-Up Display, and a 10.25” front passenger display that lets your co-pilot help with navigation. Trailer Reverse Guidance, Trailer Hitch Line-Up Assist, and a Tow Mode-activated digital rearview mirror simplify the most complicated processes. Trims That Pair Well With Towing Needs The lineup includes trims ranging from the workhorse Tradesman® to the utterly indulgent Tungsten, meaning there’s a configuration to match both your towing needs and your lifestyle. Off-road trims like the Rebel® and Backcountry are more specially equipped for more demanding terrain, while upper trims like the Limited and Tungsten bring luxury refinements without sacrificing powerful capability. The RAM 1500 towing capacity remains competitive across the lineup, but do pay attention to your engine options for the right amount of pull for your usual tasks. Backed by a Strong Warranty RAM stands behind the 2026 RAM 1500 with a 10-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty on select models—a strong signal of confidence in the truck's long-term durability. When you’re counting on your truck for serious towing work, that kind of coverage matters. See It in Person at Bruner Stephenville CDJR The 2026 RAM 1500 towing capacity makes it a standout choice for truck buyers who need genuine capability paired with modern technology and a refined interior. Car Industry Strikes & How They Effect Car Buying

Car industry strikes disrupt production, impacting car buying in numerous ways. These labor disputes halt manufacturing, causing vehicle shortages and delayed deliveries. Prices surge as demand outpaces supply. Consumers face uncertainty, forcing them to consider alternatives, and dealerships grapple with inventory challenges. This article explores the impact of car industry strikes to help you make an informed decision as you purchase a new car. Vehicles Shortages When auto workers go on strike, production lines come to a screeching halt. Dealerships, in turn, face reduced inventory, leading to limited choices for consumers. These strikes disrupt the flow of vehicles from factories to showrooms, causing delays in getting new cars to eager buyers. For example, the GM strike 2023 can disrupt the supply chain, affecting the availability of essential parts needed for vehicle assembly. This leads to longer waiting times for already-ordered vehicles, further frustrating prospective buyers. With fewer cars in stock, dealers may not be as willing to negotiate on prices, putting the buyer at a disadvantage in the negotiation process. Increased Prices When car industry strikes persist, it's not just the new cars affected. The shortage of new vehicles creates a ripple effect in the used car market. As you look for alternatives, the limited supply of new vehicles forces you to consider pre-owned options, which also experience price hikes due to increased demand. Your budget takes a hit, and your bargaining power diminishes in the face of these market dynamics. You should research and consider alternative transportation solutions to navigate these challenges during car industry strikes. You may explore car rental options, carpooling, or even delaying your purchase until the market stabilizes. You can opt for a reliable dealership offering cheap cars to cut your purchase cost. Limited Model Choices As labor disputes disrupt production at automotive factories, your vehicle selection options decrease. The scarcity of available models can increase demand for those still on the market. In such circumstances, you might have to reconsider your preferences and priorities when buying a car. The specific make and model you initially desired may be limited due to the strike's impact on production. It is best to be flexible and open to exploring alternative options during this period. When car manufacturers are caught up in labor disputes, it can lead to delays in releasing new models or updates to existing ones. You may find the latest features and technologies you were anticipating are delayed, making it necessary to adjust your timeline for purchasing a new vehicle. Resale Value Fluctuations The resale value of cars can fluctuate dramatically during a strike. When production resumes after a strike, there's often a flood of new vehicles on the market. This surge in supply can push down the prices of older models, impacting your car's resale value. Be prepared for these fluctuations, and consider the timing of your car purchase carefully to make the most of your investment.
